Jeremiah 6:30
“Men will call them rejected silver, because Yahweh has rejected them.””
What does Jeremiah 6:30 mean?
This verse comes during a time when Jeremiah is describing God's judgment on Judah. The people have turned away from God's ways so completely that they're no longer useful for the purpose they were made for, just as silver that fails the refiner's test is thrown away as worthless. It's a hard image, but Jeremiah uses it to show how serious the situation has become. When people consistently reject God's guidance and refuse to change direction, there are real consequences.
