What does Jeremiah 52:2 mean?
King Zedekiah, the last ruler of Judah before the Babylonian exile, followed the same destructive path as his predecessor Jehoiakim, repeatedly turning away from God's guidance and doing harm to his people. This verse appears near the end of Jeremiah's account, showing how one generation's refusal to listen to God's warnings can set a pattern that the next generation repeats, leading to even greater consequences.
