What does Jeremiah 51:60 mean?

Jeremiah had just been given a series of prophecies about Babylon's coming destruction, and he carefully wrote them all down in a single document. This wasn't casual note-taking, but an intentional act of recording God's judgment against a massive empire that had conquered Jerusalem and scattered God's people into exile. By putting these words into writing, Jeremiah created something permanent, a testimony that could be preserved and remembered long after he was gone. The act itself carried weight, as if saying: these words matter, this judgment will happen, and future generations need to know that God's promises, even difficult ones, come true.
