What does Jeremiah 51:45 mean?

God is calling his people to physically leave Babylon before judgment falls, but the deeper message speaks to spiritual separation too. When we stay entangled with systems, choices, or environments that pull us away from God, we expose ourselves to the consequences that follow. This isn't about fear or punishment in a harsh sense, but about a parent urging a child away from genuine danger. The invitation here is to trust God enough to let go, to create distance between yourself and whatever keeps drawing you toward harm, even when leaving feels costly or uncertain.
