Jeremiah 50:5

What does Jeremiah 50:5 mean?
After exile and scattering, people are finally turning their faces toward home, toward Zion and toward God. The image captures both the physical longing for a place and the spiritual hunger to belong to something lasting and true. Jeremiah is painting a picture of restoration, where wandering people choose to bind themselves to God through a covenant they won't abandon or forget.
