Jeremiah 5:10
““Go up on her walls, and destroy; but don’t make a full end. Take away her branches, for they are not Yahweh’s.”
What does Jeremiah 5:10 mean?
God speaks here through the prophet Jeremiah about how His judgment will come against Jerusalem, but it won't be complete destruction. The image is of someone entering a vineyard and pruning it severely, cutting back the branches but leaving the roots alive so the plant can grow again.
