Jeremiah 49:1
“Of the children of Ammon. Yahweh says: “Has Israel no sons? Has he no heir? Why then does Malcam possess Gad, and his people dwell in its cities?”
What does Jeremiah 49:1 mean?
God is questioning through Jeremiah why the Ammonites have taken control of the Israelite territory of Gad, as if Israel had been abandoned or had no one to defend its inheritance.
