Jeremiah 48:7
“For, because you have trusted in your works and in your treasures, you also will be taken. Chemosh will go out into captivity, his priests and his princes together.”
What does Jeremiah 48:7 mean?
Jeremiah is speaking to the nation of Moab, warning them that their confidence in their own accomplishments and wealth has made them spiritually blind and vulnerable. When a people believe they can rely on themselves alone, without humility or dependence on God, they lose the wisdom to see real danger coming.
