What does Jeremiah 44:10 mean?
Jeremiah is speaking here about people who've repeatedly ignored God's warnings through the prophets, even after experiencing terrible consequences like exile and loss. Despite all these hard lessons, they still haven't turned back to God or taken his instructions seriously. This captures something painfully human: we can go through difficult seasons, see the connection between our choices and our suffering, and still resist changing course. The verse suggests that stubbornness isn't always about lacking information—sometimes we simply refuse to humble ourselves enough to listen, even when we've had every reason to.
