What does Jeremiah 39:10 mean?
When Babylon conquered Jerusalem, the powerful and wealthy were taken into exile, but the poorest people were left behind. Nebuzaradan, the Babylonian commander, actually gave these forgotten people land, vineyards, and fields to work. It's a striking detail: in the midst of conquest and destruction, the very people with the least got an unexpected opportunity to survive and sustain themselves. Sometimes what feels like being left behind turns into its own kind of provision, and those the world overlooks aren't always abandoned by God's purposes.
