Jeremiah 31:23
“Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: “Yet again they will use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I reverse their captivity: ‘Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.’”
What does Jeremiah 31:23 mean?
God is promising the people of Judah that after their exile ends, life will return to normal in a way that matters deeply: they'll greet each other with blessings again. The phrase "habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness" shows that God sees their land not as cursed or abandoned, but as a place set apart for his purposes, worthy of blessing. This was written to exiles who had lost everything, reminding them that restoration wasn't just possible, it was already planned in God's heart.
