What does Jeremiah 29:21 mean?
Jeremiah was speaking to Jewish exiles in Babylon, and this verse calls out two false prophets named Ahab and Zedekiah who were giving the people dangerous lies. These men claimed to speak God's word, but they were actually telling people what they wanted to hear instead of what was true, offering false hope that the exile would quickly end. God promised that He would hold these deceivers accountable and that King Nebuchadnezzar would execute them as a visible sign that their words were worthless.
