What does Jeremiah 27:22 mean?
When Babylon conquered Jerusalem, they didn't just destroy the city—they carried off the temple's precious objects as spoils of war. This verse is God's promise that the exile won't be permanent, that He hasn't abandoned His people or forgotten what belongs to His house. The "visiting" God speaks of here means His deliberate, purposeful intervention to rescue and restore, something He does when the time is right. What makes this meaningful for people in hard seasons is the underlying message: captivity to sin, shame, or circumstances isn't your final destination.
