What does Jeremiah 27:20 mean?
Jeremiah is describing the aftermath of Babylon's first major attack on Jerusalem, when King Nebuchadnezzar took the young king Jeconiah and many of Judah's leaders into exile. The verse is noting that some of the temple's precious objects were left behind during this initial deportation, even though the most important people and items had already been removed.
