What does Jeremiah 26:18 mean?
Jeremiah is recalling how the prophet Micah, generations earlier, had delivered a harsh warning during King Hezekiah's reign, predicting that Jerusalem and even the temple mount would be completely destroyed and abandoned. This was an extraordinarily bleak message, essentially saying that the holy city would be reduced to rubble.
