What does Jeremiah 25:21 mean?
Jeremiah is listing the nations that will drink from God's cup of judgment and face His wrath. Edom, Moab, and Ammon were all neighbors of Judah, sometimes allies and sometimes enemies, but none were exempt from the consequences of turning away from God. The prophet is making clear that God's standards apply to all peoples, not just His chosen nation. This reminder can comfort us today: when we see injustice or wrongdoing around us, we can trust that God sees it all and holds everyone accountable, regardless of their power or status.
