What does Jeremiah 20:14 mean?
Jeremiah is in deep pain here, wrestling with the weight of his calling as a prophet. He's been mocked, rejected, and persecuted for delivering God's unpopular messages, and in this raw moment, he wishes he had never been born at all. His anguish is so real that he curses his own existence. What makes this passage powerful is that it's honest. Jeremiah doesn't hide his despair behind pious words.
