What does Jeremiah 18:13 mean?
God is calling out Israel's unfaithfulness by comparing it to something so shocking that even neighboring nations would find it bizarre. The "virgin of Israel" is a poetic way of referring to God's beloved people, young and protected, yet they've abandoned the God who cherished them. God is essentially saying, "Look around at other nations and ask them, Have you ever heard of people rejecting their own God like this?"
