What does Jeremiah 15:13 mean?
God is speaking through Jeremiah to warn that because of persistent unfaithfulness, the people's wealth and possessions will be stripped away by invading forces—taken as spoils of war at no compensation. This isn't random punishment but a direct consequence of their rebellion against God that has spread throughout the nation. The loss of everything they treasure is presented as proportional to the depth and breadth of their sin. While this sounds harsh, it's part of Jeremiah's difficult message calling people to repentance: God is willing to let their comfortable life be dismantled if that's what it takes to turn them back to him, because spiritual faithfulness matters more than material security.
