Jeremiah 1:18
“For, behold, I have made you today a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.”
What does Jeremiah 1:18 mean?
God is telling young Jeremiah that he's been equipped with strength for a difficult calling. The prophet's message would be unpopular—even kings, priests, and regular people would oppose him—but God promises he won't be destroyed or worn down by that opposition.
