Jeremiah 1:15
“For, behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says Yahweh. “They will come, and they will each set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.”
What does Jeremiah 1:15 mean?
God is telling Jeremiah that He will allow enemy armies from the northern kingdoms to surround and invade Judah as a consequence of the nation's unfaithfulness. This was a difficult message for the young prophet to deliver, essentially announcing that Jerusalem would be besieged and its cities conquered.
