Isaiah 65:1
““I am inquired of by those who didn’t ask. I am found by those who didn’t seek me. I said, ‘See me, see me,’ to a nation that was not called by my name.”
What does Isaiah 65:1 mean?
God is expressing something surprising here: he makes himself available and visible to people who weren't even looking for him. This describes his generous, reaching-out nature, not because they earned it or pursued him first, but because he chooses to reveal himself. The verse captures a beautiful paradox of faith, where God often shows up most powerfully in the lives of those who weren't actively searching, while those who do seek sometimes struggle to find him.
