What does Isaiah 60:2 mean?

Even when everything around us feels shadowed and unclear, this passage reminds us that God's light is not diminished by the world's darkness. The prophet Isaiah is painting a picture of deep trouble and confusion spreading everywhere, yet in the very same moment, God's presence breaks through for those who turn toward him. It's not that the darkness disappears entirely, but that God's glory becomes visible and tangible right where we are, bringing hope and direction even in the hardest times. This speaks to something many of us experience: our circumstances don't always change instantly, but God can meet us in them with a presence so real that it transforms how we see ourselves and our situation.
