““As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says Yahweh. “My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your offspring, nor out of the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says Yahweh, “from henceforth and forever.””
What does Isaiah 59:21 mean?
God is making a promise here about something that will last through generations. He's saying that his Spirit and his words, once given to his people, won't be taken away from them, their children, or their grandchildren, but will continue on and on forever. It's a covenant, which means it's a serious, binding commitment from God himself, not something conditional or temporary.
