Isaiah 55:7
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will freely pardon.”
What does Isaiah 55:7 mean?
This is an invitation wrapped in hope. The prophet is saying that no matter how far someone has wandered, they can turn around, and God will meet them with mercy rather than punishment. The word "freely" is key here, because it means God's forgiveness isn't something we have to earn or bargain for, it's offered as a gift.
