What does Isaiah 52:8 mean?
After Jerusalem's exile in Babylon, this promise painted a stunning picture of restoration. The "watchmen" were the city's guardians, posted on walls to spot danger or approaching hope, and here they're suddenly breaking into unified song because they can actually see the Lord returning to reclaim His people.
