Isaiah 51:12
““I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?”
What does Isaiah 51:12 mean?
God is speaking directly to His people in their discouragement, reminding them that He Himself is their source of comfort and strength. The prophet then offers a gentle challenge: why should we live in fear of other people, who are temporary and fragile, when we have the eternal God on our side?
