Isaiah 43:12
“I have declared, I have saved, and I have shown; and there was no strange god among you. Therefore you are my witnesses”, says Yahweh, “and I am God.”
What does Isaiah 43:12 mean?
God is reminding his people that he alone has been faithful to them. Throughout their history, he has made himself known, delivered them from danger, and revealed his character, while they have had no reason to turn to other gods. Because they have experienced his saving work firsthand, they become his witnesses to the world, living proof that he is real and trustworthy. This call to witness isn't about perfection but about honestly sharing what they have seen and known of God's faithfulness.
