What does Isaiah 41:9 mean?
God is speaking directly to someone chosen for a specific purpose, reminding them that their selection wasn't random or temporary. The language about being called from "the ends of the earth" and "corners" suggests a person or people who felt far away, isolated, or overlooked, yet God reached for them anyway. In the original context, this was addressed to Israel during exile, when the people felt abandoned and feared they'd been forgotten by God forever. The core promise here is that being chosen by God isn't conditional on your circumstances or how unworthy you might feel, and it's not something that gets revoked when life becomes difficult.
