Isaiah 41:14
“Don’t be afraid, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel. I will help you,” says Yahweh, “and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.”
What does Isaiah 41:14 mean?
God calls Jacob a "worm" not as an insult, but to acknowledge how small and powerless Israel feels in a world of empires and threats. The prophet Isaiah writes this during a time when the people are exiled and defeated, when their confidence is shattered.
