Isaiah 39:6
“‘Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up until today, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says Yahweh.”
What does Isaiah 39:6 mean?
King Hezekiah had just shown off all his wealth and treasures to messengers from a distant kingdom, and through the prophet Isaiah, God tells him the consequences of that pride: everything he's bragging about will be taken away to Babylon. This wasn't meant as cruel punishment so much as a hard truth about what happens when we trust in our possessions and status instead of God.
