What does Isaiah 32:5 mean?
In Isaiah's vision of a transformed world, God is promising that the values people honor will completely flip. Right now, the prophet observes, society often celebrates the wrong people, treating the dishonest and morally empty as if they're worthy of admiration. But when God's justice truly takes hold, that reversal ends: the shallow and selfish will lose their inflated status, and respect will finally go to people of actual character and integrity.
