“This also comes out from Yahweh of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.”
What does Isaiah 28:29 mean?
God's plans are far beyond what we might expect or understand at first glance. This verse reminds us that the wisdom directing the world isn't human wisdom, but comes from someone whose counsel is both wonderful (surprising, full of care) and excellent (perfectly suited to what's actually needed). When life feels confusing or when God's ways seem strange to us, this is an invitation to trust that there's a deeper intelligence at work, even when we can't see the whole picture yet.
