What does Isaiah 26:16 mean?

When life gets hard, sometimes that's when we finally turn our attention toward God. This verse captures that honest reality: people often pray most earnestly during their difficult seasons, when they feel the weight of consequences or loss pressing down on them. The word "visited" here means they came to God, sought him out, made time for him in a way they might not have otherwise. There's something bittersweet about this, because it takes pain to remind us of what matters most, yet God welcomes that turning toward him no matter what brings us there.
