Isaiah 2:1
“This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.”
What does Isaiah 2:1 mean?
Isaiah is introducing himself and what he's about to share. He's a prophet—someone through whom God spoke—and he's revealing visions about the kingdom of Judah and its capital city, Jerusalem. What follows will be both challenging and hopeful: warnings about where people have gone wrong, but also glimpses of how God plans to restore and transform everything. By opening this way, Isaiah is saying, "Pay attention to what I'm about to tell you, because it comes from God, not just from my own thoughts."
