Isaiah 18:3
“All you inhabitants of the world, and you dwellers on the earth, when a banner is lifted up on the mountains, look! When the trumpet is blown, listen!”
What does Isaiah 18:3 mean?
Isaiah is calling out to everyone, everywhere, to pay attention because something significant is about to happen. The banner and trumpet are ancient signals of war or gathering, so he's essentially saying: "Stop what you're doing and notice what God is doing." It's an urgent invitation not to miss a crucial moment in history. For those of us today, it can speak to being spiritually awake and responsive, not sleepwalking through life when God is working around us.
