What does Isaiah 10:7 mean?
This verse captures a moment when God is speaking about the king of Assyria, who is being used as an instrument of judgment against Israel. The king believes he's conquering nations because of his own power and ambition, but God sees the deeper reality: the king is actually carrying out God's purposes, even though destruction and pride are what truly motivate him.
