Isaiah 10:12
“Therefore it will happen that, when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his haughty looks.”
What does Isaiah 10:12 mean?
God is saying that he'll use Assyria as his tool to discipline Jerusalem and Judah, but that doesn't mean Assyria gets a free pass for its arrogance. Once the Lord finishes what he intends to accomplish through Assyria's military campaigns, he'll turn around and hold the Assyrian king accountable for his own cruelty and pride.
