What does Isaiah 1:21 mean?
Jerusalem, once known as a place where justice flourished and God's ways were honored, had become unrecognizable. The prophet uses the painful image of a faithful partner turning unfaithful to show how deeply the city had abandoned its values, not through one dramatic fall but through a gradual corruption of its leaders and people who now protected the violent instead of the vulnerable.
