What does Hosea 4:3 mean?
The prophet Hosea is describing the ripple effect of turning away from God. When people abandon faithfulness and break their covenant with the Lord, the consequences don't stay isolated to the spiritual realm—they seep into creation itself. The land grieves, crops fail, and animals suffer alongside their human companions. This reflects an ancient understanding that humanity and creation are deeply connected, not separate. Our choices matter beyond ourselves.
