Hebrews 2:5
“For he didn’t subject the world to come, of which we speak, to angels.”
What does Hebrews 2:5 mean?
God didn't put the future world under the control of angels, but under something (or someone) greater. The writer is building on a chain of thought: angels are powerful, but they're not the highest authority in God's plan. This sets up the next idea, which is that Jesus, as the Son of God, holds that supreme position over everything to come. It's a way of saying that what matters most for our eternity isn't administered by heavenly servants, but by Christ himself.
