What does Hebrews 13:2 mean?
Hospitality in the ancient world wasn't a nice social extra, it was a survival necessity. Travelers had few safe places to rest, and showing kindness to strangers (especially in Jewish tradition) was seen as reflecting God's own welcome toward us. This verse encourages us to treat guests and unfamiliar people with genuine care, not begrudgingly or out of obligation.
