Hebrews 10:14
βFor by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.β
What does Hebrews 10:14 mean?
Jesus offered himself once on the cross, and that single sacrifice completed what needed to be done for our forgiveness and standing before God. At the same time, the verse acknowledges that we're still in a process of being shaped and changed by God's Spirit, becoming more like Christ over our lifetimes. The beautiful tension here is that our ultimate acceptance is already settled and complete, while our daily transformation is ongoing. This means you don't need to earn God's approval through endless effort, yet you're invited to keep growing in faith and character because that work actually matters.
