Haggai 1:5
“Now therefore this is what Yahweh of Armies says: Consider your ways.”
What does Haggai 1:5 mean?
God is calling His people to pause and think honestly about how they're living. After years of exile, the Jewish community had returned home but got distracted, focusing on their own comfort while neglecting the rebuilding of God's temple. This isn't harsh judgment so much as a loving wake-up call: step back and look at what you're actually prioritizing. The invitation to "consider your ways" is something many of us need today. When life feels empty or stuck, it's often because our energy has drifted toward things that don't truly matter to us. God isn't asking you to beat yourself up, just to look clearly at your own life and ask whether your actions line up with what you actually care about.
