Genesis 48:9
“Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me here.” He said, “Please bring them to me, and I will bless them.””
What does Genesis 48:9 mean?
Joseph is presenting his two sons to his aging father Jacob, who is near the end of his life. When Joseph identifies them as gifts from God rather than simply as his own children, he's expressing gratitude and acknowledging that all good things ultimately come from the Lord.
