What does Genesis 47:12 mean?

Joseph had risen to enormous power in Egypt, and when his family arrived during the famine, he used that position to care for them completely. He provided food for everyone in his father Jacob's household, distributing it based on what each family needed. This verse captures something beautiful about Joseph's character: despite years of separation, betrayal, and hardship, he didn't hesitate to support the very people who had sold him into slavery. His provision wasn't grudging or conditional, it was thorough and faithful, showing that his heart had genuinely moved toward forgiveness and family restoration.
