“Now therefore, please let your servant stay instead of the boy, my lord’s slave; and let the boy go up with his brothers.”
What does Genesis 44:33 mean?
Judah is offering himself as a slave to Egypt's ruler (Joseph, though he doesn't know it yet) so his youngest brother Benjamin can go free. This moment shows how deeply the brothers have changed since they sold Joseph into slavery years earlier.
