What does Genesis 42:24 mean?
Joseph has just heard his brothers speak to each other in their native language, not realizing he understands them. They're discussing their guilt over what they did to him years ago when they sold him into slavery, and his emotional dam breaks. He steps away to cry privately because the weight of seeing them again, hearing their remorse, and carrying his own grief becomes overwhelming in that moment.
