Genesis 41:28

That is the thing which I spoke to Pharaoh. What God is about to do he has shown to Pharaoh.

What does Genesis 41:28 mean?

Joseph is explaining to Pharaoh that the dreams he had were a single message from God, not two separate visions. Both the dream of the seven healthy cows eaten by seven starving cows and the dream of the seven full heads of grain consumed by seven withered heads mean the same thing: seven years of plenty will be followed by seven years of famine. What Joseph is really saying is that God has revealed what's coming, and now Pharaoh has the chance to prepare. There's something reassuring in this, even though the message itself is about hardship ahead. God isn't keeping secrets or catching Pharaoh off guard—He's giving him advance warning so the kingdom can survive the crisis. Sometimes the kindest thing is knowing what's ahead so you can get ready.
