What does Genesis 38:1 mean?
Judah steps away from his family at a low point in his life. His brothers have just sold his younger brother Joseph into slavery, and Judah feels distant from them, so he travels to spend time with Hirah, a man from Adullam. This moment marks the beginning of a chapter that will show Judah stumbling through choices driven by grief, loneliness, and poor judgment, yet ultimately transforming into someone more humble and wise.
